Gilbert Schlesinger is a second-generation Washingtonian. He began his real estate career in 1952, and continues to be an integral part of the firm. In 1958 Gilbert and Louise Schlesinger formed G.A. Schlesinger Company Realtors, and opened for business in the Citizens Savings Building, located at 3720 Farragut Avenue, in Kensington, Maryland. Gilbert designed and built the Citizen Savings Building (now the Provident Bank Building), a landmark in Kensington, where the firm still conducts its operations today.

In 2005 Gilbert earned the “Realtor Emeritus” designation awarded by the National Association of Realtors. During his long career he has received many awards of recognition for his sales and leadership accomplishments. He acted as board director for State National Bank, now Wachovia Bank, and has served the Montgomery County Board of Realtors in various capacities over the years. He has also represented the Town of Kensington in many real estate transactions. Gilbert is a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

Currently president of the firm, Gilbert is regularly consulted by many, within the real estate community and beyond, for his expertise and willingness to help others.

David Schlesinger is a senior vice president and has been managing a full-service real estate brokerage since 1986. David began his career with Schlesinger Realty, working with clients throughout the Washington metropolitan area. His experience includes listing and selling residential properties, commercial and residential development, new/remodeling construction, and commercial sales and leasing. David has been a top producer in each of his endeavors, in addition to leading and managing the firm’s sales and production team. David is a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and Florida.

It is by combining personal service with a strict work ethic to meet his client’s goals, and providing information enabling his clients to make the best possible decisions regarding their real estate requirements, that David has built a successful career.

Lisa Schlesinger is a senior vice president and has worked with the firm for over twenty-five years as a property manager and office manager. Lisa has accomplished many goals, both personally and for the firm, over her long career.

She has contributed to the development and implementation of our property management services operation since its inception. Her positive attitude and attention to customer service is one reason clients trust our firm to protect and enhance their real estate investments. Lisa oversees all aspects of commercial and residential property management. Her ability to communicate effectively with our clients, vendors and potential tenants is the most pronounced strength she brings to our team. Lisa is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Maryland.

Cecilia Biava is our experienced bilingual real estate agent. Cecilia completed studies at Arizona State University and universities in her native Colombia. Cecilia is very active in the local community, including volunteer work with local charities, churches, schools and other organizations. She has served as president of the Norbeck Ladies Golf Association, board member and class chair of the Georgetown Prep Parents' Organization, and volunteer with the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra.

Cecilia is an energetic, enthusiastic and very personable real estate professional who works diligently for her clients with one goal in mind — to help them achieve their real estate objectives.
